Red White & Yella Hama bead Fellas

July 20th, 2010
In 1996 or 1995 I created an anthropomorphic ninja assassin feline character, who I introduced in a short two page story, that can be found in my gallery here. I was going to continue the further adventures of this cunning hero with the “Enter the Kitten” story, I never finished the comic, ’cause I was far too lazy. Recently I thought I’d have a go at re-designing my long forgotten hero. He’d always existed in a black & white crosshatched pen and ink style, so this is my first full colour Cat design since 1996. I may one day finish the story I started over 14 years ago, god I’m lazy. I think he looks a lot better in colour compared to his first Black & White incarnation, let me know what you think. I made some T-Shirts and Stickers out of my new colour design, which can be found at Red Bubble.
Decap Attack atombat Hama bead madness
April 18th, 2010Just a quick post showing a couple of quick Hama bead pixel art characters I recently created. The first lot is my own atombat pixelated in Hama beads. The second is Chuck D. Head from Sega’s Decap Attack. Sega’s Western release of Magical Hat flying turbo adventure gave someone the idea to re-design the principle character into a more grotesque gothic horror hero, and I’m really glad they did. great character really enjoyed making this, as the beads are pretty much spot on colour wise. Just a pity I flipped the board whilst creating it last night, scattering most of the beads, setting me back an hour or 2 aaaaaaaaargh!! The final looks like it was worth it, now back to my real work. Hi Mister Vergeer if your reading this, more great Hama bead characters still to come.
UPDATE 21/07/2010
Just found out that some of my pictures are looking a bit murky on other peoples computers, so I’m replacing them with better looking ones taken from my scanner, thanks Anna

The Sinclair Spectrum 8 Bit Buzz Bot. This mean little Retro Robot design is going to made into a vectorized T-Shirt design, like the other pixel art robots I’ve created over the past few years. This is my final design for the 30 characters in 30 days. It’s been fun thanks for all the support. You guys have some fantastic concepts and ideas.
